Good night?
Be What You Want To Be
Abraham Maslow, a famous psychologist, once stated that it is very common for men and women to often ‘sell themselves short.’ One of the topmost personal attributes one can possess is self-confidence.
Getting a firm sense of control over your life is a matter of setting clear goals/objectives and establishing a sense of direction based on those objectives.
Improve relationships
The more self-confident you become, the better the quality and quantity of your relationships will be. People will be attracted to your personality and you will therefore get more opportunities to meet nicer, more self-confident, interesting and enjoyable people.
Boost that confidence
Not only can self-confidence help you make new friends, it can even help you get a promotion. This is because supervisors often value a self-confident and positive attitude even more than your actual knowledge about your job.People sometimes lack self-confidence because they see themselves poorly in comparison to others. First of all, remember that no one can affect your thoughts or perceptions unless there is something that you want from them, or something you want them to stop doing. The bottom line is that inner confidence is the key to it all.
Project a self-assured image
Even though you may be shivering with insecurities inside, if you look outwardly confident, it will be easier to converse with others and make you more approachable as well.
Become a good conversationalist
Everyone admires and secretly envies an individual who has the ‘gift of the gab.’ However, such people are not necessarily born with this ability. Usually, it is an acquired trait learned over a period of time. So, try to inculcate this ability.
Trust yourself
Trusting yourself to accomplish anything and make the right choices — even if they sometimes do not serve you well — demonstrates genuine inner confidence.
Become good at what you do
This way, you will immediately distinguish yourself from the average person who drifts from failure to failure and accepts mediocrity as a satisfactory standard.
Exercise the muscle
The more open you are to risks and opportunities, the more confident you will be required to be and, consequently, the more confidence you will develop.
Stop the negative chatter
If the little voice inside your head is always criticising you, it is time to nip it in the bud. But positive thinking can come to the rescue. Repeating positive affirmations such as ‘I am a great and capable person’ will start you on the right track.
Practice makes perfect
Ponder over who you are, what you believe in, and what is important to you. Keep practicing developing your self-confident image and it will soon come naturally to you.
